Commons 1.13.13

I’ve just released version 1.13.13 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release includes a large number of performance fixes, in addition to the following:

  • Fixed a bug that caused text entry to break when an apostrophe was entered into a text-entry Portfolio field
  • Improved PHP 7.2 compatibility in a large number of plugins and themes
  • Fixed a bug that caused some user subscriptions to appear incorrectly in some group listings
  • Improved the text of the confirmation email when deleting a site
  • Fixed a bug that caused group social media links to appear incorrectly in some cases

Commons 1.13.12

I’ve just released version 1.13.12 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release is a major update release for plugins and themes, and includes fixes for the following:

  • Hotfixes for plugin incompatibilities with new server infrastructure
  • Improved messaging in reply-by-email error messages
  • Improved behavior of group Files filters

Commons 1.13.10

I’ve just released version 1.13.10 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release is also a major update release for themes and plugins. Fixed in this release:

  • Improvements to the registration process to avoid problems with commons username and email address confusion
  • Improvements to the email notification unsubscribing process
  • Removed unneeded “Topic Status” selector from group forum topic creation process

Commons 1.13.8

I’ve just released version 1.13.8 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release includes:

  • Some fixes for Jetpack connections
  • Fixes for cases where protected content may be posted in blog posts syndicated to the home page
  • Improvements to the registration process to warn against the use of @login.cuny.edu pseudo-email addresses
  • Improvements to the appearance of parts of the invitation modal
  • More consistent display of title data on single forum posts

Commons 1.13.6

I’ve just released version 1.13.6 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release, which is also a major theme/plugin update release, contains some performance improvements for certain scheduled tasks, as well as some streamlining of the way that data is handled during aborted account registrations.

Commons 1.13.3

I’ve just released version 1.13.3 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release fixes a number of issues:

  • Removed duplicate ‘Create a Group’ link from toolbar dropdown
  • Fixed bug introduced in 1.13.0 that prevented status messages from appearing when redirecting to wp-login.php from non-public sites
  • Fixed bug in the display of private message receipients
