Commons 1.18.5

I’ve just released version 1.18.5 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release is also a major-update release for plugins and themes. Fixes include:

  • Fixed bug that caused parts of the Group Site interface to work improperly when editing a group.
  • Fixed bug that could cause a fatal error when replying by email to a trashed forum topic.
  • Fixed bug that caused user-set roles not to be respected when inviting others to join a group-site.
  • Fixed bug that could cause an error in the WAVE accessibility scanner.
  • Fixed the AJAX filters for some homepage widgets.

Commons 1.18.1

I’ve just released version 1.18.1 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release is a major-update release for plugins and themes. It includes the following fixes:

  • Ensure that CommentPress themes cannot be activated without the CommentPress Core plugin.
  • Fix bug that caused ‘Digital Research Tools’ nav item to appear incorrectly for certain users.
  • Improve messaging about cloning on ‘Create’ page.

Commons 1.17.4

I’ve just released version 1.17.4 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release is a major update release for plugins and themes. It also includes a major update to WordPress, to release series 5.5.x. Commons 1.17.4 contains a number of fixes to ensure compatibility with WordPress 5.5.x, as well as the following:

  • Fix bug that could cause Reply link to lead to the wrong place when viewing group forums in a thread
  • Ensure that content copied from a template at the time of site creation is attributed to the site creator
