Commons 1.9.23 and server migration

I’ve just released version 1.9.23 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This release – which is not part of our regular 1st/11th/21st schedule – is in support of yesterday’s migration to a new server environment. The only changes in this release were modifications to the codebase that were required by the new hosting arrangement.

Our next regularly scheduled release, on August 11, will be version 1.9.24.

Commons 1.9.22

I’ve just released version 1.9.22 of the CUNY Academic Commons. In addition to a number of minor plugin updates, this release addresses a bug with featured posts that missed their scheduled post time, and enhances users’ ability to post gifs and other images in the body of comments.

A note for the wonks: The next normally scheduled release, on August 11, will be Commons 1.9.24. Commons 1.9.23 will take place on Friday, August 5, as part of our migration to new server infrastructure.

Commons 1.9.19

I’ve just released version 1.9.19 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This maintenance release includes a number of fixes, including:

  • An update to the latest maintenance version of WordPress (version 4.5.3)
  • A fix for a bug that caused the wp-accessibility plugin to show the Log Out button to logged-out users
  • Removal of MediaWiki from the codebase, in accordance with the wiki sunset plan

Commons 1.9.18

I’ve just released version 1.9.18 of the CUNY Academic Commons. This release addresses a number of minor issues:

  • Improve formatting in some email notifications
  • Fix problem when pasting content into portfolio widgets from MS Word
  • Fix problem when using Instragram oEmbed in WordPress posts
  • Fix incorrect “More Blogs” link on the home page
